Reflection

I had already completed setting up an ePortfolio for another class, so the easiest part was curating it to meet the requirements of this assignment. Although I had an ePortfolio on hand, it was long outdated and was not as professional as it should've been, so coming up with a more professional layout and updated information was the least challenging part of this assignment. In contrast, the hardest part was getting used to the website again. Learning how to add subpages and additional pages was very confusing.

I'm very excited to be curating my ePortfolio more now than when I first created it, because I have more experience with course projects and knowledge in my area of study than I did before. I will say, I am not as confident in my resume because I don't have a list of experiences or academic accolades to add on yet.

My best experience with a leader came from my one of my previous mangers. She was very assertive yet personable so she truly got along with everyone. Her personality alone made our work environment one that was fun but she also did not let us slack getting our jobs done. Her high energy and positivity made us want to match her work ethic and made us all do our jobs better. I think this way of leading worked because she kept her expectations high for all of her employees and never spoke down on us, so we had no choice but to be productive.

Just recently one of my family friends had a wedding that was held at an outside venue. Although it ended beautifully, there were so many things that could have been prevented for it to go smoother. The biggest problem was that the wedding did not start on time, and by the time the bride walked down the isle, it was dark outside and the crowd could hardly see. I don't think anyone accounted for the wedding not starting on time, so the fairy lights that were around the venue were little to no help at creating a vision for us guests. One thing I would have done differently is have a plan set in place if the wedding runs late, especially knowing that I am dealing with the timing of the sunset. I have no questions for this stage, but I do hope to get feedback that will help me make my ePortfolio one that is more professional!
